We believe in PR with a purpose. Whether it's increasing sales, raising awareness of a product or service, or gaining support for a project, we'll work with you to work out how best to achieve your goals and engage with your target audiences.

ATOM was set up in 2002 and is run by sisters, Dwynwen and Elliw. We get involved with our clients at every stage – from developing board-level strategies to rolling out campaigns. When you call, it’s us that you get.

We can act as senior communication consultants to guide and support your in-house team, or deliver integrated campaigns on your behalf - pulling together a bespoke set of skills from our pool of associates in PR and related industries if, and where, needed.

Born, bred and proud to be living and working in North Wales, we understand the culture, we know the people, we speak the language. These attributes significantly assist our clients in communicating effectively in Welsh, English or both.

We love our work and always enjoy sharing ideas with likeminded people, so feel free to get in touch to discuss your needs.

Elliw Williams

Elliw set up ATOM in 2002 at the age of 22 and within months found herself providing localisation consultancy for Microsoft and organising a high profile international policy conference for a Welsh MEP. She has a first class honours degree in International Relations, a Masters in Welsh Politics and Society and a Postgraduate Diploma in PR. She is a member of the Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR), sits on BAFTA Cymru's North Wales committee, and served a full term as a member of Marie Curie’s first ever Advisory Board in Wales.

Passionate about inspiring and motivating young people, Elliw acts as a Welsh Government Big Ideas Wales role model visiting local schools to talk about entrepreneurship. Her own entrepreneurial vision has gained her several awards including the Menter a Busnes Enterprise Award (2004) and a Shell Livewire Wales award (2003). She also appeared as a judge on ‘Fi yw’r Bos’ (‘I’m the Boss’) on Welsh language TV channel S4C, a competition-based series which aims to promote entrepreneurship among teenagers.

Dwynwen WIlliams

Dwynwen joined ATOM as co-director in 2005, coming from an information management background. Starting her career in the late 1990s as project manager on schemes aimed at increasing the use of ITC in business (and accelerating the availability of broadband internet access) gave her an appreciation of communications in all its forms. It also led to her ‘early-adopter’ attitude to social media and an expertise in conducting global campaigns.

One of her career highlights to date was to manage the international We Want Peace campaign for humanitarian Emmanuel Jal, a multi-faceted stakeholder engagement project involving everything from public affairs at an international level to celebrity endorsement and media liaison, gaining coverage for the client on every single continent and in over 10 languages.

Dwynwen has a degree in Law, a Masters in Information and Library Studies and a CIPR Postgraduate Diploma in PR. Her main passion, undoubtedly, is music (mainly hip hop, soul and afrobeats) and when she is not interior decorating she enjoys attending as many music industry events as possible and provides mentoring and support to British and African artists.
